"What we want for your children . . . we should want for their teachers;
that schools be places of learning for both of them,
and that such learning be suffused with excitement,
engagement, passion, challenge, creativity and joy."

    Greetings to Our Learning Community:

    Dr. Karon Rankin-Manning

    Students, parents, grandparents, guardians, relatives, friends, and community members welcome to Judson and we want to ensure that you will enjoy the experiences we have in store for you. Our staff is super, our students are fantastic, our parents are active participants in the learning process and we are cultivating caring and growing together for all children.

    It is our desire to provide the best educational experience for every child. Your partnership with us allows the students to achieve their full potential. Daily, we work towards success. The school's efforts along with you, allow for a focused team effort which results in students reaching unimaginable goals and living their best dreams.

    Parents, we encourage you to assist us in motivating your students and teaching them self-motivation. Please have regular conversations with them about school and their progress. Parental involvement demonstrates that school is important to your family and that you are committed to their success. Our students come to school willing to learn and are working hard. Our teachers are challenging students through the use of best practices, local, state and national mandates daily. Please remain involved by communicating regularly with your child's teacher.

    The state of Louisiana has adopted Common Core State Standards and below are links that we have found beneficial to parents, teachers and community members. Please share the information with other parents and community partners as needed in order to assist in preparing our students, parents and community through the use of the information therein.

    We are purposefully driving each student towards success. We need you as a willing participant providing support in the process.

    These are the guiding websites that are stocked with parent information and resources to assist you as you work with the school and your child. Thank you for all you have done and will do to continue to make Judson a great place to learn.

    Yours in Education,

    Dr. K. Rankin-Manning
